The Roc was more interested in getting his hands on the black market material than getting to know Hakeem and the twins. However, with the Dollar Record deal behind them, the Roc was back in the forefront. As Kurt and Draya’s relationship grew, like a broken fire hydrant, they promised Hakeem would get in on the action as well. Hakeem’s hate for Draya only amplified when he found out that he had a hard drive labeled “Shattered” with explicit photos of her to sell. Draya’s response? Um…hmmm?
Nessa had a smoke while standing backstage at the Seven Five concert. Ariane and Nessa were dating and growing closer but Nessa had to deal with her mother, Amina. ‘Left has’ been confirmed to be the name of Amina’s new man. Instead of being jealous, she spoke with Nessa in high level fashion. The one other person that may never get along with Nessa is Pap. That’s because when they met up on the rooftop, he made the mistake of bringing along the server with whom he had a dinner engagement. When it turned out that server didn’t have to catch up, Nessa didn’t think it was a big deal. She went to the rooftop to speak with Pap. However, after getting close to the server, she felt he forced himself on her. Despite Nessa giving him a hard time, Pap insisted they get back to their respective parties. He began to make his exit and when Nessa saw a familiar face, she used his aggression to make a pass at him. But when Pap turned around, he quickly realized that Nessa was the one making the move. He immediately looked at her and knew she was faking, though. He then found out that Nessa’s mom was at that party and at first he didn’t want to believe her, but he later realized she was too honest.
Kurt’s brother Jonathan hired Clyde on a brand new gig to work on a TV project. Hakeem’s fiancee, Tori, and the rest of the production team were none too pleased. But Clyde wasn’t deterred. He explained to Kurt, Hakeem and Tori that if they blocked him, he would kill Hakeem and the family, citing the family as a whole as being weak and “selfish.” Kurt also agreed to go to Afghanistan with Jonathan to serve as an entertainment emcee. According to Jonathan, it was a necessity for Kurt to endure the dangers of war while earning an exit package.
Meanwhile, Hakeem’s aunt, Daisha, and her mother, Mae, made a pact to team up against the thing that Daisha hates most: Black men. Their plan to kick Hakeem out of the house and to use the VH1 cameras for their next drama included Mae meeting up with Jonathan and trying to seduce Jonathan with a piece of lemonade. She and Jonathan were about to have a “marathon” tryst, when Daisha intervened, to save her family and the family business. Mae said that she had to do something and Daisha declared the end of Hakeem’s ‘career as a rapper’. Daisha and Mae eventually decided to team up and fight Hakeem’s father, Tariq.
The promos for tomorrow’s episode were pretty hilarious, and I can’t wait for the episode. Watch tonight to see the deal it makes.
